This is the first Barry Purves I saw in my animation history class and is my favorite piece by Barry Purves. It tells a tragic tale of young lovers. I love the usage of the turnaround on the ground as transition from scene to a scene, quite clever. Purves theatrical sensibility is really heightened on this piece. Watching his animation is always like a watching a great play. His narrative storytelling skill is well matched with his artistic direction with high design sensibility.
