This stop frame animation from Korean Female director/ animator EunJu Ara Choi is made from anonymous testimonies from prostitutes in Korea. I was saddened by watching this piece at first, but loved the renderings of the stop frames. When I watched it again months later, I found it to be more about empowering feminist POV, the voices of the prostitutes speaking with brutal honesty.
I find Ara Choi's drawing quite lyrical and her brutal honesty in her animation both memorable and uncomfortable which I appreciate.
