Madame Tutli-Putli, 2007

Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski formed Clyde Henry Productions in Canada in 1997 after meeting each other in college. The duo made the stunning film, Madame Tutli-Putli which took 4 and a half years to make. Their puppetry, animation, lighting and character design skills are inspiring to say the least. But what makes this film stand out is the eye movements on its characters, especially the female protagonist. This stunning film was nominated for the Oscars which it won. This lead to them working with Spike Jonze and creating Higglety Pigglety Pop!

Directed by Chris Lavis & Maciek Szczerbowski.

Produced by the National Film Board of Canada.
