Fox and Rabbit, 1973

This is Yuri Norstein's first movie he directed. What makes Norstein work so great is the stories he tells with his movies. This tale about a rabbit who lost its house due to a cunning fox with a bad temper squatting at its house and how all the animals from the forest trying to help evict the fox is a great animation for the children and adults alike.

His multi plane animation is bit crude on this piece and it works really well with the artistic direction of the film done by his wife which reminiscent of a great quilts pieced together.
